According to a statement released to the Media by the Secretary to the Federal Government, Anyim Pius Anyim in Abuja today, reason(s) for the termination of Abdulkadir’s sack as the Youth Minister was not stated.
Meanwhile, there are indications that his sack is not unconnected with a path taken by the Sokoto State Governor, Magatarkada Wamako who recommended his appointment into the cabinet of President Jonathan.
It would be recalled that Governor Wamako is among the 5 governors who have been consulting and have also openly kicked against Jonathan’s second term options.
It is therefore thought to be a conspiracy to eradicate the opposition.
The division among the PDP governors started a few months back when the chairman of the Nigeria Governors forum, Rotimi Amaechi opposed the President's bid for a second term. This caused a division in the Forum as a faction supports the bid.
Rotimi has allegedly withdrawn from the PDP with 5 other Governors to another party
